About Quarry Ridge Electric

The Second Generation on the Bench

One van in 1998. Five vans, the same last name, and the same rule: the price we quote is the price you pay.

Roy Hutchins started this company out of a garage off Overland Road with a used van, a borrowed ladder, and a phone that rang in the kitchen. The first year’s customers were neighbors on the Bench — ranch homes with tired panels and fuse boxes that had outlived their era.

His daughter Katie grew up sorting wire nuts in that garage. She pulled her first permit at 22, made Master Electrician, and took over the business in 2019. Roy is officially retired, which everyone understands to mean he still does Saturday estimates.

We’ve wired North End bungalows, Harris Ranch new-builds, Kuna shops and Eagle hot tubs. The tools changed. The rule didn’t: tell people the truth, put the price in writing, and leave the place cleaner than you found it.

Who shows up

Meet the Crew

Licensed, background-checked, and in a marked van — every job, every time.

Katie Hutchins

Owner · Master Electrician

Grew up sorting wire nuts in her dad's shop. Took over in 2019 — still quotes every big job herself.

Roy Hutchins

Founder

Started the company in 1998 with one van and a Bench address. Officially retired; still shows up for Saturday estimates.

Marcus Delgado

Journeyman Electrician

Eleven years with us. Panel-upgrade specialist. Rebuilding a '72 Bronco one paycheck at a time.

Danny Whitfield

Journeyman Electrician

Our generator and EV lead. Passed his journeyman exam on the first try — we still hear about it.

Elena Ruiz

Office Manager

The voice on the phone. Answers before the second ring, and her call-back list never rolls to tomorrow.

On paper, not just on the van
